Second Weather Station Online — Raddy WF-100C Joins the Shack

Exciting update from the shack: I’ve just installed a second weather station, the Raddy WF-100C, and it’s now fully operational!

My first station, a TFA Nexus, has been running smoothly for years, quietly collecting and uploading weather data that’s been incredibly useful for both: everyday monitoring and ham radio operations—especially during severe weather or propagation shifts.

The new Raddy WF-100C brings some additional features to the table. Along with standard measurements like temperature, humidity, pressure, wind, and rainfall, it also tracks UV index and solar radiation—valuable data for anyone interested in how solar activity might correlate with HF conditions.

Currently, the WF-100C is uploading live data to:

    So why a second station?

    • Redundancy — Always good to have a backup, especially during storms.
    • Extended coverage — This one is located in a different part of the property, giving a broader look at local conditions.
    • More sensor data — UV and solar readings are new and already proving interesting.
    • Experimentation — Because when you’re a ham, there’s always something to tinker with!

At the moment, the WF-100C doesn’t support direct integration with WeeWX, which I’ve been using and customizing for a while. I’m currently exploring workarounds to get its data into WeeWX—ideally this would open the door to APRS weather beacon integration down the line. If anyone out there has tips or experience with this model and WeeWX, I’d love to hear from you.

I’ll be sharing more data comparisons between the Nexus and the WF-100C soon, maybe even a review or a technical deep dive.

Until then, feel free to check out the live weather data:

    Software downloads

As of right now I will be publishing my Software for free download and use.

I am writing this software mainly for my pesonal use, but have decided that I would like to make it available for everyone who would like to use it.
First software released to public is “OE9IHR eQSL downloader”, that you can use to download QSL cards from eQSL.cc.

You can find all the software on my Download page.
There is also a support page and discussion forum.

    Weather station again On Line

Since June 2022 my weather station is on line and uploading again.

After moving to out house in February 2015 I didn’t upload weather data until 01.06.2022.
Before moving to our house I was using an old Dell notebook, running Windows 7 and WSWin32 to download data from my TFA Nexus weather station and upload it toInternet.

Since June 2022 I am using a Raspberry Pi 3 to download the data. Onec downloaded the data is than processed und uploaded using WeeWX.

You can find the uploaded data here.
